This is a TOP 10 book for me. Pressfield is one of my favorite writers. His (historical) fiction writing was one of the catalysts that resulted in me going back to school to complete a degree in (Ancient) History. In this work, Pressfield names the nagging, critical voice in our heads “The Resistance.” You will read this again and again. In fact, stop reading this and go buy your own copy.

This is a good read. Phil Jackson applies the philosophy that everyone is a leader. He also subscribes to the idea of group problem solving. He applies Zen and Native American teachings about mindfulness and letting go to leadership and teamwork.

Tim Ferriss' book on nutrition and exercise. He is interested in human optimization. I am someone that has been on a multi-year mission to improve my health. 4HB has played a role. This book introduced me to the concept of the "cheat day." Eat the low to no-carb plan he recommends but then one day per week, gorge yourself on bad stuff. All in an effort to keep your metabolism off balance.

Excellent guidebook for figuring out what is important to you. I am a big fan of "what gets measured gets done." How do you allocate your time? This work was one of many catalysts that got me OFF the climb-the-corporate-ladder treadmill. I started looking at how I was allocating my time. It got me thinking about how dis-satisfied I was with my career. It sparked change.

This is the first book from Eric Greitens. It is a story of the path he has taken from college to the military to humanitarian relief worker. It is an excellent read and I will have to go back and re-read because I am not sure how I can only have 10 kindle notes.
